Wilton, NSW: Skydiving incident sends man to hospital

A man is being flown to hospital after a skydiving incident which saw him crash land into a tree in southwest Sydney.

The 24-year-old crashed into a tree upon landing near Picton Rd in Wilton, just after 1.30pm today.

The branches then snapped and the man fell 10m to the ground, injuring his lower back.

He is currently being transported to Liverpool Hospital for suspected spinal injuries.

NSW Ambulance said he was also suffering from possible ankle and hip injuries.

NSW Police, Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service also attended the scene of the crash.
